The Rule We Should Walk By

Series: Galatians

Rev. John RohrmanMarch 16, 2025Passage: Galatians 6:11-18

The Galatians were being pressured to be circumcised in order to be in right relationship with God and his people. But in the closing argument of his letter, the apostle Paul exposes the false theology and false motives behind this message, and he reminds them to continue to “walk by the rule” of the “new creation” that promises peace with God and others by faith in the crucified Christ. We also need this encouragement to stand firm in the truth of the gospel that what truly “counts” is not our accomplishments or the approval of others, but who we are in Christ.
