George Schmidt

Deacon

Deacon George Schmidt was invited to Covenant by his brother-in-law in 1982. One week later George and his wife, Cathy, came to faith through the Evangelism Explosion presentation by Covenant’s first pastor, Dave Brewer. This has been the first and only church George has ever belonged to and he has served as a deacon, youth leader, Jr. Church teacher and softball coach. George and Cathy have 3 grown children, David, Rebecca, and Christine, and 8 grandchildren. In his free time George likes to walk with Cathy, vacation in Ocean City, NJ with the family, and enjoy Phillies baseball and Eagles football.
