In this second “round” of their conversation, Habakkuk questions God about his using Babylon to punish Judah, and then announces that he will wait until he receives an answer, and . . . God answers him. Obliquely. But he ends with the line that became the touchstone of the Reformation, especially as it was used by the Apostle Paul, six hundred years after Habakkuk wrote it.
