At this season of Thanksgiving we are reminded that our lives ought to be characterized by an attitude of gratitude. Real Christians are truly thankful for all the Lord has done for them. Yet it is so easy to be absorbed by the gifts that we forget to thank the Giver. C.H. Spurgeon said, "When we bless God for mercies, we usually prolong them. When we bless God for miseries, we usually end them. Praise is the honey of life which a devout heart extracts from every bloom of providence and grace."
