What a blessing that for all His infinite, transcendent glory, God has made it so simple for His weak and helpless servants to find refuge in Him. He invites us to cry, “Help, Lord!” and then delights to rescue us with power and love through the blood of His Son, shed on the cross. Our cry is answered because Jesus’ cry was forsaken so that we might live forever through faith in Him.
