Growth in the likeness of Christ does not happen overnight. It is the result of years of care and refinement from the hand of our Master. After his tragic failure, Peter discovered anew the grace and empowering mercy of the Savior who was not yet finished with him. We, too, may experience the grace of the risen Savior who knows that we are not yet what we will be, but also not what we once were, as we follow Him by faith.
