In our sermon text, the apostle John makes his point quite clear: no one who abides in him keeps on sinning, no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. However, what may not be immediately apparent is John’s Christ-centered way of reasoning. Lord willing, we will turn our attention to this in our sermon.
