Rev. John RohrmanApril 7, 2024Passage: Galatians 3:25-4:7
If you were asked what the book of Galatians (or Romans) is about, you might say 'justification,' and you would be correct. But it is about more than justification, because our salvation is about more than our justification. In today’s sermon passage, Paul will remind us that, by faith in Christ, we are not only legally acquitted in God’s sight, in the impersonal way that an accused criminal would be by a judge. We are also adopted, as children by a Father, in a deeply personal way—objects of not only his approval but also his blessings, affection, joy, and even pride, because we belong by faith to his perfect, beloved Son.
