Dr. John MuhlfeldFebruary 2, 2025Passage: 2 Samuel 6:1-4
There comes a time in every life when we either submit to God’s lordship or try to be our own king. For David, transporting the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem was far more than relocating a gilded wooden box. It was a proclamation that Yahweh was Israel’s true covenantal King. It was the pivotal moment of his reign, standing in stark contrast to the actions of his predecessor, Saul. David’s greater Son would one day face an even greater pivotal moment that would secure our salvation and enable us to joyfully submit to the Father’s lordship over every moment of our lives.
