No one asks for heart surgery or looks forward to an organ transplant, but these painful and invasive procedures often save lives. Rebuke is frequently the last thing we want or think we need, yet God uses it is save our spiritual lives. David discovered the deep mercy of God through a timely rebuke that led to repentance and forgiveness. We, too, may know the grace of forgiveness through repentance and faith in the Savior who suffered the ultimate rebuke that we deserved on the cross.
