When God and sinners are reconciled, it is not like two equal parties meeting halfway to find common ground. God graciously choses to forgive, at great cost to Himself, because He loves us. In Luke 7, Jesus extends grace to a woman who very much knew she needed it, even while endeavoring to extend it to a man who very much thought he did not, giving hope to all of us no matter where we currently stand before Him. Jesus Christ came in the flesh to reconcile even those who do not yet know they need to be saved so that all glory and praise would be given to God.
