Paul’s description of life in the last days sounds miserable as he lists nineteen examples of unfettered godlessness. But he does not offer the account to scare us, but to prepare us to follow Jesus in faith and perseverance. The Savior who defeated sin and death on the cross is able to preserve us to the end as we trust and follow Him by grace.
