As Paul approached the conclusion of his earthly life, he did not view it as the end but as the beginning of his eternal reward with Christ. His grim sentence in Nero’s dungeon was not the beginning of the end but the end of a beginning that would have no end! Such is the hope of every believer who has known the grace of Jesus Christ and longs for His return.
