Many believers have faced very hard circumstances over the millennia, some even suffering the loss of freedom and terrible abuse. How have so many of them not only survived, but flourished in hope and effective witness? They have flourished through the gospel of Jesus Christ that proclaims a Savior who, though infinitely free, became a bondservant for us so that through faith in Him we might be freed from sin to live for Him.
