At the heart of 1 Timothy, we find Paul’s stated purpose in writing: that we might grow in godliness so that the Church’s testimony to the truth may be enhanced and the Lord Jesus Christ be proclaimed. All of our struggles, toils, and hardships cannot compare to the honor of testifying to the One who set us free on the cross and who continues to do so through the gospel of grace.
