Mere hours before His crucifixion, Jesus foretold the bitterness of Judas’ betrayal and the shamefulness of Peter’s denial. He understood with perfect clarity the agony of the cross that lay before Him. Yet He also knew the joy that lay before Him as He would glorify His Father and bring salvation to His people. Jesus’ obedience becomes our joy as we fix our eyes on the Savior who died so that we might live and share His love with others.
