We’ve all experienced the overwhelming joy over unexpectedly finding something priceless and personally important to us. But, if we’re honest, we don’t often have that sense of joy over “finding” the kingdom of heaven. As we take a closer look at these two short parables, we’ll consider why that is and how we can recover a sense of joyful willingness to sacrifice all else for the kingdom, the gospel of the kingdom, and, especially, a relationship with the King himself.
