After sinning horrifically, David was overcome by guilt. But it was not a self-focused, self-destructive guilt that led to despair and paralysis but a God-fearing guilt that led to repentance, faith, and mercy. We all stumble into sin in many ways, but God calls us back to Himself through this glorious three-step path that leads us to Christ.
